The pigments are pure, with natural opacity, and the set is ready to use straight from the tube. It can be thinned with water and is fully compatible with other HORADAM gouache colours for mixing. When dry, the finish is matte and slightly lighter in colour, making it suitable for both painting and as an underpainting base for oil works. The set is produced in Germany and represents Schmincke’s long-standing tradition of high-quality artist colours since 1881.
